All what we need to socialize with people are nice outer look and social mask! To be a social person you have to have different masks depending on the other side type. Believe me, it's true deep inside our selves. Even if you don't know about it, you are using those masks, and the masks are using you without your permission. It's not a bad thing people. just FACE IT!
It is true, indeed. And not just for parties and other large social gatherings... In truth, there is a different version of ourselves we create for every interaction with others.
There is a home-family version, perhaps a school and/or work version, a close-friend version, a larger-acquaintance version, a public version, perhaps multiple online versions...
Some of those may be markedly similar or, to all appearances, the same as one another... but they are there. We act differently and speak differently when around different people, and it is a natural function of the human personality and psyche. What becomes a problem is when the "true self" is lost to the masks, or the masks themselves become harmful to the face underneath.
I, myself, have many seemingly harmless masks... I have those, as well, that are barbed behind their smooth facades.
Question the one that featured it, instead of the artist. The artist never ASKS to be featured, and posting on the artist's page like this is just rude.

Excellent symbolism.
It actually shows how we hide our faces and dress differently.
